Description

Herzog Wine Cellars has just released its flagship wine again, 8 years after the legendary 2006 To Kalon. This time the grapes were sourced from the vineyard of the award-winning Padis winery in Napa Valley. Winemakers Joe Hurliman and Alicia Wilbur have outdone themselves! The Generation VIII showcases the wonders of the 2014 vintage in California. A full-bodied, plush, ripe and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with a long and mouth-filling finish as well as a structure that will allow it to age and evolve for many years to come. Arguably one of the best kosher wines in the world, it was produced in very limited quantities and is already a collector item. It comes in a beautiful packaging, with an (almost) one-of-a-kind silver and gold plated label.

Herzog s Special Reserve Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon Generation VIII is made from grapes grown at the Padis Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of California s Napa Valley, where the grapes benefit from the ideal climate of warm days, cool nights, and crisp foggy mornings. Rich aromas of black cherry, tobacco, and cedar fill the nose, and bold notes of ripe plum and dark cherry melt on the tongue. One can detect an undercurrent of toasted almonds and vanilla flavors as the wine moves to the back of the palate. Serve with thick grilled steaks, rich stew, or dark chocolate.
