Description

Very bright red color. Highly intense aroma dominated by components of red fruit and ripe black fruit (blackberry, raspberry and plums). Dense on the palate, with high-quality tannins, well-balanced acidity and a long finish. Blend: 44% Alicante Bouschet, 40% Touriga Nacional, 16% Aragonez.

It is a very versatile wine given its balance between tannins, acidity and fruit. It can be enjoyed on its own oraccompanied by either pasta or white meat, or more elaborate traditional dishes.

Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Aragonez are just a few of the myriad native grapes responsible for the food-friendly red wines of Portugal. This 2015 comprises this popular trio of grapes, and you can expect them to impart their gifts of dark fruit, cherry and structured tannins with typical generosity and aplomb – and all at an amazing price. Try this with grilled pork ribs, or beef or lamb stews.
